For more than 40 years, HBI has been developing and delivering workforce training programming to help address labor shortages facing the nation's building and remodeling industry. Approximately 250 HBI employees deliver these programs throughout the U.S. Based in Washington, D.C., HBI has twice been the recipient of Washingtonian Magazine's 'Great Places to Work.' HBI operates numerous training programs through U.S. Department of Labor contracts and grants. Job Corps is the nation's oldest and largest federal residential education and training program for at-risk youth. For more than 40 years, HBI has trained young people, ages 16 to 24 in eight construction trades at more than 70 Job Corps centers nationwide for careers in the residential construction industry. HBI has a network of placement coordinators to assist graduates in obtaining trade related employment. HBI has a continuous student population of approximately 3,000 through its Job Corps operations.
