The Baltimore Museum of Industry celebrates Maryland’s industrial legacy and shows how innovation fuels ongoing progress. The BMI's exhibitions, educational programs, and collections engage visitors in the stories of the people who built Baltimore and those who shape the region’s future.

About

Educational programming: The BMI currently offers eleven curriculum-aligned education programs for visiting school groups. In FY19, these programs provided a total of 100,101 educational services to approximately 30,600 students, teachers, and chaperones. These visitors came to the BMI from Baltimore City and 19 different Maryland counties, as well as from several surrounding states. The BMI also continued to offer the popular Maryland Engineering Challenges in FY19. Organized around eight different problem-solving activities, these highly anticipated STEM competitions engaged a total of 498 young engineers from grades 1-12.
