About this organization
Mission
Creating lasting social change rarely happens through one person acting alone. More often, change happens when many of us come together around a common purpose. That's what SVP is all about. We connect individuals who want to give their time and money to make their communities stronger and the nonprofits leading the way with disruptive ideas to tackle Los Angeles' toughest challenges. The learning goes both ways - Partners come to SVP to change their community, but they stay with SVP because the community changes them.
About
Systems Change Accelerator: SVP supports a cohort of early-stage systems change initiatives with a combination of seed funding, peer learning, and skill-based mentoring and coaching. SVP provides a range of in-kind assistance based on the nonprofits' priorities, including strategic planning, marketing, communications, executive coaching, leadership and organizational development, finance, and fundraising. Over 45 members (also referred to as Partners) and other volunteers contributed over 600 hours to our Systems Change Accelerator. See Sch O for more details.
