THE UNIVERSITY SERVED 20,615 (UNDUPLICATED) STUDENTS DURING FISCAL 2019, OFFERING PROGRAMS AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS IN DELAWARE AND NEW JERSEY AS WELL AS PROVIDING AN ON-LINE MODALITY. IN APRIL OF 2017 THE UNIVERSITY ACQUIRED AN APPROXIMATE 40 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND IN NORTHERN NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DELAWARE. THE UNIVERSITY ALSO SECURED PERMISSION TO CONSTRUCT THREE BUILDINGS ON THE SITE. THE FIRST OF THE BUILDINGS IS AN APPROXIMATE 60,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY WHICH WILL PROVIDE THE UNIVERSITY SPACE ON WHICH TO EXPAND IN A LOCATION THAT IS CONVENIENT TO STUDENTS IN NORTHERN NEW CASTLE COUNTY DELAWARE, DELAWARE COUNTY AND SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA. THE FACILITY HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND CLASSES STARTED IN JANUARY 2019. THIS IS AN EXTENSIVE UNDERTAKING AND ONE THAT WILL REQUIRE A NUMBER OF YEARS TO COMPLETE. HOWEVER, THIS MILESTONE IS TRULY REPRESENTATIVE OF HOW MUCH THE UNIVERSITY IS GROWING BOTH IN OUR ABILITY TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS IN OUR PHYSICAL SIZE. IN NOVEMBER OF 2018, THE UNIVERSITY EMBARKED ON THE PROCESS OF REPLACING ITS LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM AND ITS RELATED EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES WILL CONTINUE TO SHAPE OUR LONG-TERM STRATEGIC INITIATIVES IN THE YEARS AHEAD. THE SYSTEMS ENHANCE OUR ABILITY TO PROVIDE A QUALITY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR EACH AND EVERY STUDENT. THIS PROJECT ENABLES THE UNIVERSITY TO BETTER SERVE OUR STUDENTS AND IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS. THE PILOT WAS COMPLETED DURING THE SUMMER OF 2019 AND THE UNIVERSITY EXPECTS TO FULLY IMPLEMENT THE SYSTEM IN FALL 2019. IN FALL OF 2017, THE UNIVERSITY ADMITTED THE FIRST STUDENTS FROM OUR PARTNER GUILD EDUCATION, AN ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO COLLABORATE WITH CORPORATIONS AND HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO MAXIMIZE EDUCATION AS A BENEFIT TO EMPLOYEES. THIS PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES TO EXPAND WITH THE ADDITION OF WALMART AND DISNEY TO THE GUILD ROSTER OF CLIENTS. THE INDIVIDUAL COLLEGE'S ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019:COLLEGE OF BUSINESS:A UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEMBER COLLABORATED WITH CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA ON A STUDY ANALYZING BURNOUT, MENTAL HEALTH STIGMA AND HELP SEEKING BEHAVIORS WITH THEIR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A NATIONAL STUDY FOCUS. THE GRADUATE PROGRAM COORDINATED PARTNERSHIPS WITH URBAN ACRES, THE SALVATION ARMY AND GO VENTURE TO PROVIDE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO STUDENTS. THESE WERE NEW INITIATIVES THAT HELPED STUDENTS IDENTIFY BUSINESS-RELATED ISSUES AND DEVELOP STRATEGIC PLANS. SPECIFIC AREAS OF STUDY FOCUSED ON VERTICAL FARMING, NON-PROFIT PROGRAMMING FOR EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAMS AND SIMULATION EFFORTS. THE MARKETING PROGRAM COORDINATED WITH THE DELAWARE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO DEVELOP A MARKETING PROGRAM PILOT FOR HIGH SCHOOLS STATEWIDE. A MARKETING TASK FORCE WAS CONVENED IN THE FALL OF 2018 TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY IN THE STATE MODEL PROGRAM OF STUDY PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT FOR A SECONDARY 3-CREDIT STATE-MODEL PROGRAM OF STUDY FOR COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOLS AND A 6-CREDIT STATE-MODEL PROGRAM OF STUDY FOR TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOLS THAT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND CAREERS IN MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND MANAGEMENT. THIS TASK FORCE IS MADE UP OF MARKETING TEACHERS, HIGHER EDUCATION PARTNERS, CURRICULUM PROVIDERS, AND BUSINESS PARTNERSCOLLEGE OF SOCIAL & BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES:THE FOURTH ANNUAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING SYMPOSIUM WAS HELD IN JUNE WITH 289 PEOPLE OFFICIALLY REGISTERED. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE SYMPOSIUM WAS HELD AS A 2-DAY CONFERENCE AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE UNIVERSITY COLLABORATED WITH THE BEAU BIDEN FOUNDATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN TO OFFER THE STEWARDS OF CHILDREN TRAINING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS THROUGH THE DELAWARE BAR ASSOCIATION WERE ALSO OFFERED. TRAUMA INFORMED CARE TRAINING - COLLEGE FACULTY PROVIDED TRAINING TO STATE, LOCAL AND REGIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN TRAUMA INFORMED CARE. IN MAY, THE UNIVERSITY WAS RECOGNIZED BY GOVERNOR CARNEY AND FIRST LADY TRACEY QUILLEN CARNEY. THE CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING PROGRAM UTILIZES THE COUNSELOR PREPARATION COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION (CPCE) AND THE NATIONAL COUNSELOR EXAM (NCE). BOTH ARE GIVEN AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM AS A PROGRAM OUTCOME. AGAIN, THIS YEAR, WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY STUDENTS HAD EXCELLENT SCORES ON THE CPCE AND THE NCE. PASS RATES ON BOTH WERE 96%. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE NATIONAL PASS RATE ON THE NCE WAS 90%.THE CENTER FOR PREVENTION SCIENCE WAS APPROVED AFTER EXTENSIVE RESEARCH. THE MISSION OF THE CENTER IS, "TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN RESEARCH AND PRACTICE TO BUILD CAPACITY AND PROMOTE RESILIENCE FOR STRONG, HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND BEYOND, EQUIPPING THEM WITH RESOURCES TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, SO THAT ALL CAN THRIVE."
