Mission

Jewish Women's Theatre (JWT) was formed to create, produce and preserve diverse contemporary Jewish stories that empower and educate individuals, inspire community and build cultural legacy. We strive to challenge minds, move hearts, unify people and use the strength of Jewish culture to do so. Our vision is to leave no Jewish story untold while celebrating the truths that connect all people.

About

JWT's signature program is 'At-Homes Salons' where community members volunteer to open their home to 65-100 audience members for a performance consisting of original short monologues, short plays, comedy, songs, dance, poetry and music centered on a chosen theme. JWT also regularly performs and reprises salons for community based organizations in Los Angeles and beyond. Our collection of over 35 original shows allow artists and audiences alike to deeply reflect on our collective humanity, providing many a new and culturally relevant way to reshape perceptions of Jews for themselves and others.
