ENGAGING ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO THE COMMUNITY: ATTEMPTED SETTLEMENT TALKS THROUGH THE ASSISTANCE OF RETIRED JUDGE IN APPELLATE DIVISION COURTS ON OUR APPEAL OF THE FORKED RIVER BAYFRONT CAFRA PERMIT ALLOWING A COVER ON THE BEACH WITH A REVETMENT AND GABION STRUCTURE INSTEAD OF A LIVING SHORELINE. WE LOST THE SUIT; CONTINUED THE EFFORT TO OPPOSE A CONFINED DISPOSAL FACILITY IN EAGLESWOOD TOWNSHIP WHICH IS ON-GOING, INSTEAD OF APPLYING THE SAND MATERIAL ON A LOCAL SHORELINE; WORKED IN OPPOSITION TO THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT ON THE "FAIRWAYS" PLANNED DEVELOPMENT COMMON PROPERTY AND/OR STORMWATER OPEN SPACE THAT ENDANGERS THE BAY, KNOWN AS THE EAGLE RIDGE GOLF COURSE IN LAKEWOOD, CONTINUING ON AMICUS BRIEF; PRESENTED ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS TO IDENTIFY SENSITIVE WETLAND, GROUND WATER, AND SHOREFRONT LOCATION FOR A PROPOSED 80 FOOT TALL BANQUET FACILITY USE AND BUILDING IN BRICK TOWNSHIP AT BARNEGAT BAY MARINA. HELP HARVEY CEDARS TO PURCHASE A NATURAL SEDGE ISLAND SPIT OF LAND ON JAMES STREET FOR PRESERVATION. HOSTED A THREE-DAY LONG CONFERENCE CALLED CHARTING A COURSE FOR BARNEGAT BAY FOR ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE COMMUNITY. PARTICIPATED IN MANY LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MEETINGS, ISSUES AND PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE PROTECTION AND RESTORATION OF BARNEGAT BAY.
