ENGAGING ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO THE COMMUNITY: ATTEMPTED SETTLEMENT TALKS THROUGH THE ASSISTANCE OF RETIRED JUDGE IN APPELLATE DIVISION COURTS ON OUR APPEAL OF THE FORKED RIVER BAYFRONT CAFRA PERMIT ALLOWING A COVER ON THE BEACH WITH A REVETMENT AND GABION STRUCTURE INSTEAD OF A LIVING SHORELINE. WE LOST THE SUIT; CONTINUED THE EFFORT TO OPPOSE A CONFINED DISPOSAL FACILITY IN EAGLESWOOD TOWNSHIP WHICH IS ON-GOING, INSTEAD OF APPLYING THE SAND MATERIAL ON A LOCAL SHORELINE; WORKED IN OPPOSITION TO THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT ON THE "FAIRWAYS" PLANNED DEVELOPMENT COMMON PROPERTY AND/OR STORMWATER OPEN SPACE THAT ENDANGERS THE BAY, KNOWN AS THE EAGLE RIDGE GOLF COURSE IN LAKEWOOD, CONTINUING ON AMICUS BRIEF; PRESENTED ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS TO IDENTIFY SENSITIVE WETLAND, GROUND WATER, AND SHOREFRONT LOCATION FOR A PROPOSED 80 FOOT TALL BANQUET FACILITY USE AND BUILDING IN BRICK TOWNSHIP AT BARNEGAT BAY MARINA. HELP HARVEY CEDARS TO PURCHASE A NATURAL SEDGE ISLAND SPIT OF LAND ON JAMES STREET FOR PRESERVATION. HOSTED A THREE-DAY LONG CONFERENCE CALLED CHARTING A COURSE FOR BARNEGAT BAY FOR ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE COMMUNITY.
