OUR HELP LINE, NATIONAL AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH ACTIVITIES, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND PROVIDING COMMUNITY INFORMATION/CONNECTIONS, SUPPORTS PEOPLE ON THE AUTISM JOURNEY. IN TOTAL, WE TOUCHED MORE THAN 7,500 LIVES. -ANSWERED 320 CALLS, EMAILS AND FACEBOOK INQUIRIES -240 PEOPLE ATTENDED SUPPORT GROUPS -130 PARENTS/GUARDIANS ATTENDED AN EVENING SPEAKER AND DINNER WITH DR. NASEEF, AND AUTHOR AND AUTISM DAD, ABOUT NAVIGATING LIFE WITH AUTISM. -1,340 FAMILIES ATTENDED ADAPTED INCLUSION EVENTS, SUCH AS "TOUCH A TRUCK," THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH SUMMIT METRO PARKS, POLAR EXPRESS, THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH CUYAHOGA VALLEY SCENIC RAILROAD, AND A LIVE PERFORMANCE WITH A PARTNERSHIP WITH TUESDAY MUSICAL. -MORE THAN 3,500 MONTHLY FLYERS TO AGENCIES PROVIDED INFORMATION TO FAMILIES ON ASGA AND COMMUNITY EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. -OUTREACH INITIATIVES TOUCHED OVER 500 PEOPLE LEARNING MORE ABOUT AUTISM. -LIBRARIES IN OUR SERVICE AREA RECEIVED NATIONAL AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH ACTIVITIES, BOOK SELECTIONS, AND WERE ASKED TO CREATE DISPLAYS. -MORE THAN 2,700 FAMILY MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN OUR "INCLUSION" ACTIVITIES, ADAPTED PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY THAT WELCOME FAMILIES LIVING WITH AUTISM.
