About

Shakespeare on the Green- each summer season runs for about three weeks and generally includes two plays- typically one tragedy and one comedy. Through this cultural experience, parents can introduce their children to the power and beauty of classical theatre, produced by a professional company of artists from across the country. People who ordinarily either would not or could not attend a Shakespeare play are able to discover the unique and life-affirming qualities that live theater provides. In addition to the main performance are educational preshow seminars and a green show entertainment featuring a juggler and local musicians, and a 'Shakespeare' interactive educational tent utilizing donated materials and manned by volunteers with educational expertise.
