Founded in 1882, Hastings College is widely respected for its broad and innovative curriculum, commitment to servant-leadership and managerial integrity. The college confers bachelor of arts, bachelor of music and master of arts in teaching degrees. The college has a highly qualified and national caliber faculty, the vast majority of whom hold the highest degree offered in their field. Three members of the Hastings College faculty have been named Nebraska professor of the year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Dedicated to fostering a culture of evidence and assessment, Hastings College continually measures student learning and student satisfaction. The college participates in a number of student satisfaction national surveys. Intellectually driven and socially conscious, Hastings College students have, since 2004, served more than 100,000 hours locally and in places across the United States and around the world. For four consecutive years, the college has been named to the president's higher education community service honor roll. Memorial Hospital in Hastings collaborates with Hastings College to provide 60 hours of training in radiologic technology to be applied toward a bachelor of arts degree in health technology.
