About this organization
Mission
ATX KIDS CLUB has a mission to spark kids’ natural curiosity through urban-based field trip adventures that build character, self-awareness, and resiliency with a vision to create a community in which children grow up to become confident and compassionate adults aware of their individual strength, beauty, and connection to the natural world.
About
ATX KIDS CLUB is an Austin-based 501c3 nonprofit that provides life-changing adventure field trips for children ages four to 13 years old. In partnership with Austin's public transit system, CapMetro, they introduce kids to their extraordinary city by exploring it together in small, tightly knit groups. Young adventurers learn how to use public transportation, problem-solve as a team, and experience firsthand some of Austin’s most prized treasures. More importantly, they develop a sense of self-confidence and independence during their most formative years that will shape their lives in significant ways. Through our field-trip experiences, children learn about their region's history, art, culture and environment. Our program provides children with the knowledge of how to explore Austin using the public transportation system and between our public bus and ATX Vans, campers are able to experience many of Austin's landmarks and surrounding areas.
