PROGRAM - WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE TECH INDUSTRIESIn 2016, CALSO worked with a French nonprofit organization (Groupe SOS Jeunesse) to provide an extensive research and case study analysis to assess the feasibility of setting up a workforce development program in the commercial drone industry. Groupe SOS Jeunesse is French nonprofit organization with offices all over France, providing social support services to delinquents under 18 years old and to low-income and unemployed populations. After the success of this first collaboration, the two non-profit organizations decided to work again on another study in 2017, focused on the tech and coding industry (software developers jobs). In order to support Groupe SOS Jeunesse, CALSO provided the following pieces: - Research on workforce development programs in the tech industry in Europe and the US- Case Study Report about workforce development programs on the tech industry- Awareness workshop contents- Employment readiness training contents- Job placement strategiesIn 2017, another French organization working in the social business field (Le Comptoir de l'Innovation) decided to work with CALSO on workforce development programs. The goal was to provide an extensive research on to assess the feasibility of setting up a workforce development program in new tech industries. Le Comptoir de l'Innovation is a French social business supporting other social businesses and willing to develop training programs as well for its beneficiaries. In order to support Le Comptoir de l'Innovation, CALSO provided the following pieces: - Research on workforce development programs and needs in the Commercial Drone Industry- Research on workforce development programs and needs in the Coding Industry- Research on workforce development programs and needs in the 3D Printing Industry- Research on workforce development programs and needs in the Tech in Agriculture - Research on workforce development programs and needs in the Composite Materials Industry.
