Keep Austin Fed reduces hunger and helps the environment by connecting surplus food with our neighbors in need.

In 2018, we operated one program that rescued over 60,000 pounds of healthy, nutritious food each month from more than 40 grocery stores, retailers, and restaurants, and delivered it to 60 local non-profit organizations serving our neighbors living with food insecurity. Over the year, our program diverted more than 700,000 pounds of food and provided thousands of nutritious meals to Austinites in need.
