WE STRIVE TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT PROVIDES EACH PLAYER WITH A VALUABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE, AN OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THEIR SOCCER SKILLS, AND TO ENHANCE PLAYER CHARACTER, INTEGRITY, AND LOVE FOR THE GAME. WE SUPPORT THESE PRINCIPLES BY IMPROVING INDIVIDUAL SKILLS THROUGH STRUCTURED PRACTICE SESSIONS, INCREASING THE TACTICAL ELEMENT OF TEAM PLAY, AND PERFORMING ON A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE, AGE APPROPRIATE LEVEL. RECREATIONAL SOCCER IS A PROGRAM THAT IS PRIMARILY DEVOTED TO THE ENJOYMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCCER PLAYERS WITHOUT THE EMPHASIS ON TRAVEL OR HIGH LEVEL COMPETITION. THE PURPOSE OF RECREATIONAL SOCCER IS TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PARTICIPANTS TO HAVE FUN, LEARN THE SPORT AND DEVELOP LIFE SKILLS INCLUDING A LIFELONG LOVE OF THE GAME. WE WILL STRIVE TO INSTILL A LOVE FOR THE GAME IN OUR YOUNG PLAYERS AND CULTIVATE THAT PASSION AS EACH ATHLETE MATURES. WE WILL LOOK TO BUILD PRIDE IN OUR INDIVIDUALS, OUR TEAMS, AND OUR CLUB. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO FOSTER AN ENVIRONMENT THAT ALLOWS EACH PLAYER TO EXPERIENCE THE THRILL OF HEALTHY COMPETITION, PARTICIPATION AND THE CHALLENGE OF IMPROVEMENT. THE DAPHNE STRIKE RECREATION PROGRAM TAKES PRIDE IN THE GROWTH OF CLUB MEMBERS AS ATHLETES, STUDENTS AND RESPONSIBLE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN. OUR AGES FOR THIS PROGRAM RANGE FROM AGE 4 - AGE 15, AS OF AUGUST 1ST OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. OUR LEAGUE IS MADE UP OF TWO SEASONS, SPRING AND FALL. IN THE FALL, GAMES ARE TYPICALLY PLAYED DURING THE WEEK, TUESDAY AND/OR THURSDAY. IN THE SPRING, GAMES ARE PLAYED ON SATURDAY MORNINGS. THIS PROGRAM SERVED APPROXIMATELY 800 PARTICIPANTS IN 2018.
