Man Up, Inc. adopts proven strategies and models that work to decrease the rate of recidivism, increase higher educational achievement and positively impact economic stability in the inner city, especially for African American and latino young men with significant barriers to employment and education.

Our mission is to provide a broad range of unique workforce development and higher educational opportunities, resources and support services to adult men of color, who have not been afforded the opportunity to aspire to more progressive goals; while simultaneously addressing the social, financial and legal issues that create barriers to employment and education. During the fiscal year, we provided services to fourteen (14) individuals. and twelve (12) were placed in training programs (welding, CISCO CENTS IT, Tractor Trailer Driving School, HVAC). Eleven (11) of the particpants completed the training programs and nine (9) were employed as a result of that training. Two (2) are awaiting employment placement as a result of the IT Training, one (1) of which we are providing reentry services to and is still in custody. One (1) participant recidivated.
