About this organization
Mission
Established in February 2013, Earth League International (ELI) is an innovative nonprofit organization that merges the worlds of intelligence, investigations, and conservation in service of wildlife and the people who protect it. We protect wildlife, oceans and forests through intelligence and undercover operations, research and analysis, targeting illegal wildlife supply chains, environmental criminal organizations, traffickers, and corrupt government officials. Our team and network of collaborators include professionals who have been working in the intelligence and investigation fields for decades, mostly for top governmental agencies, including the FBI and other government agencies. We are featured in the Netflix documentary 'THE IVORY GAME' and NatGeo 'SEA OF SHADOWS.'
About
Wildlife Crime: This remains by far our most important program, and an integral part of our mission. We collect information and investigate wildlife crime in three continents (Africa, Asia and Latin America), we produce public reports and we routinely prepare confidential reports for law enforcement only, in order to help their work. We currently share confidential information with a dozen law enforcement agencies around the world. Our most important investigative projects are jaguar and wildlife trafficking in Latin America, rhino horn trafficking in Southern Africa, and wildlife crime in South East Asia and China.
