LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN THE PIONEER VALLEY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE REGION. OUR CORE PROGRAM IS A 9-MONTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT COMBINES FIELD EXPERIENCES, APPLIED LEADERSHIP SKILL SESSIONS AND TEAM PROJECTS. EACH YEAR 30-40 INDIVIDUALS ARE CHOSEN FOR THE PROGRAM FROM A LARGER POOL OF APPLICANTS. PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATE IN AN OVERNIGHT RETREAT, OPENING RECEPTION, 8 FULL-DAY SESSIONS, AND PROJECT PRESENTATIONS AND GRADUATION EVENT. WE ARE BEGINNING TO CONSIDER OFFERING ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS AIMED AT OTHER AUDIENCES INCLUDING YOUTH, EXECUTIVES, OR RETIREES. LPV WILL DEVELOP WORKSHOPS AND MATERIALS TO ASSIST COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN DEVELOPING THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AS A WAY TO INCREASE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN OUR COMMUNITIES.WE HELD THE FOLLOWING:ALUMNI PROGRAM - WE HELD EVENTS FOR OUR ALUMNI TO FURTHER THEIR CONNECTIONS, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, AND PROVIDECOMMUNITY SERVICE. EACH EVENT WAS WELL ATTENDED BY ALUMNI FROM EACH YEAR OF THE PROGRAM. TO DATE WE HAVE GRADUATED 272 PEOPLE FROM THE LEAP PROGRAM.LEADERS ON BOARD- IN AUGUST OF 2015, WE BEGAN ORGANIZING A BOARD MATCHING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. LAST YEAR WE EXPANDED THE PROGRAM FROM FRANKLIN COUNTY TO ALL THREE COUNTIES. WE HELD A NUMBER OF BOARD BASICS TRAININGS TO SOLD-OUT AUDIENCES. WE ALSO ORGANIZED A WELL-ATTENDED REGIONAL BOARD CONFERENCE IN THE FALL OF 2018.
