About

The digital bus program encourages interest in science and technology among underrepresented student populations in grades K-12 on the islands of Maui and Moloka'i by working to develop the next generation of scientists capable of developing and supporting critical technologies for the future. The digital bus has been providing hands-on learning opportunities for the youth of Maui. Projects on Maui include environmental and biological sciences that engage students in field-based locations. The digital bus also serves the island of Moloka'i with a professional development program for Moloka'i teachers that provides training and technology tools needed to conduct environmental monitoring projects with their students. Moloka'i received its new van to serve as the digital bus in June 2016.
