About this organization
Mission
Solidarity with the Persecuted Church exists to help the Christian Church persevere and triumph in countries where it confronts persecution. This is accomplished by providing direct assistance to Church entities so that they can provide food, water, shelter and basic healthcare to their people, or to undertake development projects such as the building of churches, health clinics and schools. SPC also endeavors to increase awareness in the United States of the adverse conditions experienced by the Christian Church abroad.
About
SPC personnel traveled to the Kurdistan region of Iraq in order to continue relations with local partners and to identify human needs which we could ameliorate. In 2017, Solidarity with the Persecuted Church worked with the Christian Church displaced by the Islamic State in northern Iraq. We partnered with the Holy Family Center to draft the needs of displaced families who are planning to return to their liberated villages on the Nineveh plain. Solidarity with the Persecuted Church is working with the Syriac Catholic Diocese of Mosul to identify housing needs in villages that have been surveyed for reconstruction. This activity directly generated no program revenue.
