Greenagers provides employment and volunteer opportunities for teens and young adults in the fields of conservation, sustainable farming, and environmental leadership. Community work initiative trail crews: Each year, Greenagers hires approximately 40 youth as members of our Berkshire County and Columbia County trail crews. Trail crewmembers work on the Appalachian Trail and on trails owned by land trusts and cultural heritage sites. The trails program includes a financial literacy session. River walk apprentices: Greenagers hires two youth annually to serve as apprentices to take care of weekly maintenance of the trail, lead group tours, and receive training and mentorship.
