SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY HEALTH FUND IN FURTHERANCE OF A HEALTHIER, MORE EQUITABLE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY, IN 2018 THE CENTER AT SIERRA HEALTH FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO MANAGE THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY HEALTH FUND (SJVHF) ON BEHALF OF THE FUNDER PARTNERS. THE SJVHF EXPANDED FROM 11 FUNDER PARTNERS TO 17 FUNDER PARTNERS, INCLUDING SIERRA HEALTH FOUNDATION, THE CALIFORNIA ENDOWMENT, THE CALIFORNIA WELLNESS FOUNDATION, ROSENBERG FOUNDATION, W.K. KELLOGG FOUNDATION, BLUE SHIELD OF CALIFORNIA FOUNDATION, COULTER FOUNDATION, DIGNITY HEALTH, TIDES, HELLMAN FOUNDATION, THE JAMES IRVINE FOUNDATION, CONVERGENCE PARTNERSHIP, HEALTH NET, THE GROVE FOUNDATION, WERNER-KOHNSTAMM FAMILY GIVING FUND, SUNLIGHT GIVING, AND HEISING-SIMONS FOUNDATION. FINALLY, THE CENTER LAUNCHED THE SJVHF CENSUS CLUSTER PROJECT, RAISING $636,000 FROM EIGHT FUNDER PARTNERS TO SUPPORT SJV CENSUS RESEARCH ($300,000), PARTNER CENSUS-RELATED COMMUNICATION/LEARNING FOR PARTNERS, AND CENSUS ADVOCACY GRANTMAKING IN JANUARY 2019. THROUGH THESE VARIOUS GRANTMAKING OPPORTUNITIES, THE CENTER WAS ABLE TO SUPPORT RETURNING GRANTEE PARTNERS AS WELL AS 11 NEW SJVHF COMMUNITY PARTNER GRANTEES.
