THE PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR THE YEAR INCLUDED -SCC (SABULI CHILDREN'S CENTER - IN 2018, THE SCC ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO HOUSE 96 CHILDREN, AND 14 BABIES UNDER THE AGE OF ONE, WHERE THEY WERE FED, CLOTHED, PROVIDED MEDICAL CARE, AND EDUCATED IN THE LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEM. ALL THE CHILDREN ARE DOING WELL WITH SEVERAL GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND 2 GOING ON TO COLLEGE. A VOCATION TRAINING PROGRAM AT THE SCC PREPARES MANY OF THE CHILDREN FOR A FUTURE INDEPENDENT LIFE.UPU (UBANGI PROTESTANT UNIVERSITY) - IN 2018, OVER 130 STUDENTS ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY UNDER SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED BY CONGO-VOICE DONATIONS. CATI (CONGO ANIMAL TRACTION INITIATIVE) - THIS PROGRAM HAS ACHIEVED TRACTION WITHIN THE LOCAL FARMER COMMUNITY FOR USING TRAINED OXEN TO CULTIVATE FIELDS FOR GROWING A WIDE ARRAY OF CROPS. THE USE OF THE OXEN, WHICH WERE PURCHASED AND TRAINED BY DONATIONS THROUGH CONGO-VOICE, WILL ENABLE THE FARMERS TO CULTIVATE MORE LAND, IMPROVE PRODUCTION BY PLANTING DEEPER IN THE SOIL, AND REDUCE BACK-BREAKING LABOR IN THE FARMING PROCESS. IN 2018, THE PROGRAM WAS PLACED ON HOLD AND OXEN PLACED IN LOCAL FARMS, AS CONGO VOICE IS ANALYZING THE FUTURE COST AND BENEFITS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. GCC (GEMENA COMMUNITY CENTER) - THE COMMUNITY CENTER AND A NEW MEDICAL CENTER WERE BOTH OPENED IN JULY 2019 WITH FORMAL RECOGNITION FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY LEADERS. HUNDREDS OF CONGOLESE AND VISITORS LAUNCHED THE CENTERS AND ARE ALL AGREEING ON THE POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE THOUSANDS OF LOCAL GEMENA RESIDENTS.
