Pickup Soccer YOUTH OUTREACH, Inc. is a 501c3 recreational athletic public youth outreach charity located located in the Manhattan Borough of New York City which conducts charitable community outreach programs and activities to benefit under-served youth under the age of 19 who reside in the local community and are from low-income economic backgrounds. To further its mission, each year the Organization holds a day-long coaching training session to educate and prepare its volunteer coaches. The Kids Classic/Free Play is an annual program held during the summer that currently serves sixty-four, age 4-18 year-old underserved youth from New York City's five boroughs who are economically-disadvantaged and possess one or more additional risk factors in their backgrounds. The Kids Classic/Free Play is free to all participants, designed to build positive interaction, teamwork, friendship and camaraderie while improving soccer skills in a positive setting of peers, mentors and coaches.

Summer 2015 Pickup Soccer Youth Outreach Kids Classic/Free Play Program: this program served 64 children who met the Program's criteria, being 1) a resident of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, or Staten Island; and 2) from a low-income, economically-disadvantaged family; and 3) possessing one or more of the following risk criteria: (a) being a child of an incarcerated parent or parents, and/or (b) being a homeless child housed in a homeless shelter, and/or (c) a bereaved child bereft of one or both parents and/or siblings, and/or (d) being a survivor of a life-threatening disease or major illness, and/or (e) being a refugee child living in the United States of America. In 2015, Pickup Soccer Youth OUTREACH Inc. held its 4th-Annual Kids Classic/Free Play Summer Program on Saturdays 10:00am-1:00pm on five dates: 08/01/2015; 08/08/2015; 08/15/2015; 08/22/2015; 08/29/2015. The Kids Classic/Free Play aims to build positive interaction, teamwork, friendship and camaraderie while improving soccer skills in a positive setting of peers, mentors and coaches; the Program is free of charge to participants who meet the above-listed program criteria, and space is limited to 64 children. This program is operated 100% by program volunteers and coaches and no revenue is generated by it. All materials, equipment and space required to offer this program are donated each year. Miscellaneous expenses of this program such as ice, paper cups, printing, postage, etc. are met via out-of-pocket contributions from its program volunteers and the Board of Directors.
