Mission

Imagine supports children and families coping with loss and fosters resiliency and emotional well-being for all those who grieve. We do this by providing education and free year-round peer grief support for children age 3-18 and young adults 18-30 who are coping with loss due to the death of a parent or sibling or who have a family member living with a life altering physical illness. Concurrent support groups are available for parents and guardians in both programs. In the area of education and outreach we provide on-site bereavement and crisis support and educational workshops and presentations for businesses, corporations, schools and community agencies.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES GRIEF SUPPORT AND EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR CHILDREN, PARENTS AND ADULTS THROUGH ITS BI-WEEKLY PEER SUPPORT GROUPS, YOUTH WORKSHOPS AND IN-SERVICE WORKSHOPS IN THE SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY AGENCIES AND WORKPLACES, COMMUNITY-WIDE DAYS OF REMEMBRANCE, AND ON-SITE PEER SUPPORT IN SCHOOLS AND WORKPLACES AFTER ANY TRAUMATIC LOSS. - IN FISCAL YEAR 2019 THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 227 FAMILIES ON SIX NIGHTS OF BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT AND ONE COPING WITH ILLNESS NIGHT OF SUPPORT WHERE 681 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED DIRECT SUPPORT AND 2,113 ATTENDED WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS.- 287 PEOPLE ATTENDED 29 "IMAGINE A WORLD" TOURS - DELIVERED 37 COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL WORKSHOPS AND PRESENTATIONS THROUGHOUT UNION COUNTY- PRESENTED #HERE4U AND "FOSTERING RESILIENCE IN GRIEVING YOUTH" TO OVER 2,500 YOUTH AND ADULTS
