Mission

Northwest Outward Bound School changes lives through challenge and discovery

About

The Northwest Outward Bound School serves each year from Oregon and Washington, as well as many who come from around the world to engage in our programs, set amongst iconic mountains, rivers, forests, oceans, and deserts of the Pacific NW. We partner with schools and other community partners to engage youth in physical and mental challenges in and out of the classroom that promote personal growth and school success. We also offer programs for groups such as veterans, grieving teens, young black males, and tribal communities, which create unique bonding opportunities that facilitate healing and positivity in the face of adversity. Additionally, we lead multi-day outdoor excursions that span from one week to three months. Scholarship opportunities are offered to students based on motivation and individual needs.
