Permanent collection and special thematic exhibitions. On July 13, 2017, monca cut the ribbon and opened its doors to the public. Under an arrangement with the Butte County Board of Supervisors, monca's home is the 1927 Veterans Memorial Hall, built on the historic site of John Bidwell's 1800s hay warehouse. Selections from the Reed Applegate Collection are on view throughout the year, with special thematic exhibitions in 2017 including Affinity. monca's lobby hosts a permanent installation dedicated to the history of the Veterans Memorial Hall and the veterans' community in the region.
