IN 2018 MN350 CONTINUED AND EXPANDED ITS WORK TO EDUCATE MINNESOTANS ABOUT THE URGENCY OF THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND HOW THE STATE CAN BECOME A LEADER IN A JUST TRANSITION TO A CLEAN ENERGY ECONOMY. OUR VOLUNTEERS HELD PUBLIC EVENTS THAT BUILT UNPRECEDENTED OPPOSITION TO THE ENBRIDGE LINE 3 TAR SANDS PIPELINE THAT THREATENS OUR CLIMATE, WATER AND COMMUNITIES. IN THE TWIN CITIES, MN350 VOLUNTEERS RAISED PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT THE HEALTH AND CLIMATE BENEFITS OF A 100% ELECTRIC BUS FLEET. MN350 SCALED TO A NEW LEVEL OF ORGANIZING BY DOUBLING OUR SUPPORTER LIST TO 18,000 AND INCREASING OUR VOLUNTEER BASE TO MORE THAN 2000 MINNESOTANS; EXPANDED DEEP CANVASSING TO KNOCK ON 40,000 DOORS FOR IN DEPTH CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE CLIMATE CRISIS; WORKED TO BRIDGE THE TWIN CITIES AND GREATER MINNESOTA; AND HIRED NEW STAFF MEMBERS, INCLUDING AN OFFICE MANAGER, DEEP CANVASSERS, AND CLIMATE JUSTICE ORGANIZERS.IN 2018 MN350 LAUNCHED THE MN350 SOLUTIONS TEAM, A VOLUNTEER-LED INITIATIVE FOR CLEAN TRANSPORTATION, SUSTAINABLE FOOD AND A JUST TRANSITION FROM FOSSIL FUELS AND JOINED WITH PARTNERS TO LAUNCH: A 100% CLEAN ENERGY CAMPAIGN TO HELP EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT HOW MINNESOTA CAN BECOME THE NEXT 100% CLEAN ENERGY STATE THE COALITION FOR CLEAN TRANSPORTATION, AN ALLIANCE TO TRAIN VOLUNTEERS AND SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT ZERO-EMISSION TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS STATEWIDE.
