FY19 quick facts Lake Erie Ink served 3,419 unduplicated youth in grades K-12. Among these, 2,942 youth engaged in 719 hours of creative writing during in-school workshops and residencies and 405 hours of creative expression enrichment during out-of-school time. Of the 69 school and community programs provided, 65% took place in the city of Cleveland, 20% in inner ring suburbs, 12% in outer ring suburbs, and 3% outside of Cuyahoga County. Lake Erie Ink's core programs include the Ink Spot after-school program (54 served), Summer Ink creative expression camps (103 youth served), teen programs (160 youth served), and weekend Ink writing workshops (182 youth served). LEI programs incorporate the following four tenets: teaching writing, nurturing the creative development of youth, developing youths' social- emotional skills, and inspiring and supporting social justice. How it's all possible - 3 full-time staff and 12 part-time staff and contract teachers - 33 volunteers contributed over 900 hours of service
