About

We have built deep partnerships between large institutional purchasers and local Bronx businesses that focus on building community wealth. These partnerships have led to increased investments, through contracts and financial support, to the small business community in the Bronx. We have also launched a pilot fabrication facility that provides training in innovation skills and fabrication to young people and entrepreneurs from the Bronx. We have partnered with the Mondragn Corporation to scale this facility to be a critical Institutional presence in the Bronx, democratizing production and learning how to scale shared wealthbusinesses. Additionally, we have established a planning and policy lab in the Bronx, which has convened stakeholders throughout the borough around a common economic development without displacement strategy. Finally, we have also conducted comprehensive trainings and workshops around economic democracy in the Bronx.
