The mission of the World Science Foundation is to establish and sustain a general public informed by the content of science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future. Since 2008, the Foundation has presented the World Science Festival (WSF), a weeklong exploration of science that takes place annually in New York City. During the Festival, audiences engage with forefront discoveries and the thinkers behind them. Through a series of artfully-produced programs and interdisciplinary events—from compelling presentations of cutting-edge scientific research and captivating hands-on demonstrations for kids, to works in theatre, film and the arts inspired by science—WSF dramatically raises the profile of science.
