The USAFL is a non-profit amateur sports organization dedicated to the development of and participation in Australian football in the United States. The USAFL promotes participation by emphasizing awareness and a sense of community within its members, by setting standards by which member clubs agree to abide and by fostering youth programs across the United States. We are the sole representatives of Australian football in the United States.

The USAFL serves over 40 clubs and approximately 1,500 players and other support staff. A monthly e-newsletter is published each month to members and there is a continual flow of information to club presidents, via email updates, social media, web pages and conference calls. An annual general meeting is held each October. Programs in 2018 included working with the management of the United States men's Australian football teams as they competed in Ireland in July and an administrator's conference in conjunction with regional and national championships. Planned and managed regional championships in Philadelphia, PA, Nashville, TN and Sacramento, CA and national championships in Racine, WI. The national championships comprised of 54 teams across 7 divisions (5 men's divisions, 2 women's divisions).
