Research and Advocacy: Our connection to research started in 1991, when a study found that only 4% of charitable giving was directed exclusively to programs for women and girls. Women's Foundation was created to fill that gap. We've re-committed our agency to the work of research - identifying and documenting the issues, then working with community partners to articulate and implement solutions. We advocate for and educate on the following areas: 1) pay equity 2) paid family and medical leave 3) occupational licensing 4) board appointments and 5) anti-sexual harassment. The goal of the Women's Foundation research is to arrive at data-driven decisions and solutions; programmatic solutions and policy changes for the betterment of women. This is the framework for our organization.
