It is the purpose of Progressive Alternative Living, Inc. to provide residential housing and other related services in a home-like environment in Lafayette County for persons with developmental difficulties. Persons with developmental difficulties include individuals who have severe chronic disability as determined by individual client needs and by needs assessment. The needs assessment must reflect the person's need for a combination and sequence of special, interdisciplinary or generic care, habilitation or other services. These services may be of extended or life-long duration and are individually planned and coordinated. The services will strive to maximize and maintain each individual person's level of independent functioning in the home and community. The person must be eligible for the services provided by the Division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities of the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
