A. THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS COUNCIL (IRC), A MEMBER OF THE WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL OF AMERICA, A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION WITH AFFILIATES IN 94 CITIES. IRC IS THE KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN REGIONS PREMIER PROVIDER OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS PROGRAMMING. IRC IS A 58 YEAR OLD NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHICH SPONSORS QUALITY INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AND PROGRAMS TO FOSTER INDIVIDUAL UNDERSTANDING OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS AND ISSUES. BERKLEY AWARD RECOGNIZES SUPERIOR ACHIEVEMENT BY A HIGHSCHOOL JUNIOR OR SENIOR EACH YEAR. ACADEMIC WORLD QUEST IS A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM COMPETITION WHICH IRC HAS SPONSORED SINCE 2006. IT IS A FLAGSHIP PROGRAM OF THE WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCILS OF AMERICA AND THE WINNING TEAM REPRESENTS KANSAS CITY IN THE NATIONAL COMPETITION.
