EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - OUR NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED, VOLUNTEER-RUN CONFERENCES PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE FACING HUNGER, EVICTION, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, HEALTH RELATED CRISIS, THREAT OF DISCONNECTION OF UTILITIES AND OTHER EMERGENCY NEEDS THROUGH THE WORK OF OVER 3,827 VOLUNTEER MEMBERS IN 141 ST. VINCENT DE PAUL CONFERENCES AND THE COUNCIL OFFICE, APPROXIMATELY $13,700,000 IN ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED TO APPROXIMATELY 294,000 NEIGHBORS IN NEED IN 2019. IN 2019, THE COUNCIL OFFICE PROGRAMS PROVIDED $4,105,463 IN ASSISTANCE TO 5,337 NEIGHBORS IN NEED.
