To help first time home buyers through low interest loans. The loans can be up to 10,000, payable over a maximum of 10 years, at a 3% interest rate, with an equal monthly payment amount from the borrower. In addition, from the regional housing trust fund monies received, our mission is to provide housing rehabilitation assistance to qualified homeowners, and to provide tenant rental and utility assistance to qualified individuals. In addition, a revolving loan fund has been established in relation to this program for owner and rental rehabilitation loans.

About

Fiscal year 2011 was our first year as part of the regional housing trust fund. In F/Y 2018 we provided tenant rental and homeowner utility assistance to several hundred qualified low income households. Rental and utility assistance funds were funneled through the county general relief directors, who dispersed these funds to recipients. As of June 30, 2019, there are outstanding loans to low income households, so these homeowners could use these funds for such things as roofs, gutters, siding, foundation repairs, and various structural improvements. Also, as of June 30, 2019, there are outstanding loans to different habitat for humanities and to additional non-profit, for constructing or repairing homes in the community.
