PROVIDES A FUN, CHALLENGING AND DEVELOPMENTAL ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR YOUTH TO ENHANCE THEIR LOVE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL OF THE GAME OF SOCCER. WE AIM TO PROVIDE OUR MEMBERS WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY COACHES AND TRAINERS, OFFERING YOUNG PLAYERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AT A LEVEL CONSISTENT WITH THEIR ABILITY AND COMMITMENT LEVEL. REV SOCCER CLUB (REV) IS A COMPETITIVE TRAVELING SOCCER CLUB SERVING ROSEMOUNT AREA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (RAAA), EASTVIEW ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (EVAA), INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 196 (ISD 196) AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. REV FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING KIDS' SOCCER SKILLS AND IMPROVING THEIR GAME. REV HAS BEEN IN EXISTENCE FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS, PREVIOUSLY OPERATING UNDER THE TAX ID OF RAAA, A NONPROFIT, TAX EXEMPT, COMMUNITY BASED ATHLETIC PROGRAM. REV HAS ALWAYS OPERATED WITH ITS OWN BOARD OF DIRECTORS SEPARATE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF RAAA. REV HAS GROWN FROM A FEW HUNDRED PARTICIPANTS TO OVER 1,000 PARTICIPANTS SINCE ITS INCEPTION. REV'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A FUN, CHALLENGING AND DEVELOPMENTAL ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUTH TO ENHANCE THEIR LOVE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL RELATED TO THE GAME OF SOCCER. REV AIMS TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY COACHES AND TRAINERS, OFFERING YOUNG PLAYERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AT A LEVEL CONSISTENT WITH THEIR ABILITY AND COMMITMENT. REV IS OPERATED BY A STAFF CONSISTING OF FOUR DIRECTORS AND ONE ADMINISTRATOR. THE STAFF IS OVERSEEN BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS. IN ADDITION TO THE STAFF, REV ALSO HIRES ADDITIONAL SOCCER TRAINERS TO RUN CAMPS AND CLINICS AT HOURLY RATES. REV PLACES PLAYERS ON TEAMS MATCHED WITH THEIR SOCCER ABILITY AND THEY PLAY IN SUMMER AND FALL LEAGUES HOSTED BY BOTH THE MINNESOTA YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION (MYSA) AND USCLUB SOCCER. REGULAR LEAGUE PLAY OCCURS AT LOCAL CITY AND DISTRICT FIELDS. IN ADDITION TO SUMMER AND FALL LEAGUE PLAY, REV PROVIDES YEAR-ROUND SOCCER TRAINING FOR PLAYERS TO CONTINUE TO IMPROVE THEIR SOCCER SKILLS. OFF-SEASON PLAY OCCURS AT LOCAL CITY, DISTRICT, AND CHURCH GYMNASIUMS, THE IRISH SPORTS DOME (LOCATED IN ROSEMOUNT, MN) AND WEST ST. PAUL SPORTS DOME. THE CLUB ACTIVITIES ARE FUNDED BY REGISTRATION FEES PAID BY THE PLAYERS AND TOURNAMENT FEES FOR THE ANNUAL TOURNAMENTS HOSTED BY REV.DURING THE SUMMER 2018 SEASON, REV HOSTED A TOTAL OF 66 TEAMS FROM THE U9-U19 AGES. REV RUNS WINTER TRAINING PROGRAMS THAT LAST FROM NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH AND THREE WEEKS OF CAMPS IN THE SUMMER. PLAYERS WITHIN THE CLUB TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE METRO AREA FOR THEIR LEAGUE GAMES. ALL TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN TOURNAMENTS THAT RANGE IN AREA FROM THE TWIN CITIES AREA TO OUT OF STATE LOCATIONS (BOTH DRIVING AND FLYING DISTANCES). REV ALSO HOSTS TWO OF ITS OWN TOURNAMENTS AS FUNDRAISERS FOR THE CLUB.FOR THE WINTER 2018 PRESIDENTS' DAY TOURNAMENT, REV HOSTED 44 TEAMS (INCLUDING REV TEAMS) AND GAMES WERE PLAYED OVER ONE WEEKEND FOR ALL AGE GROUPS. FOR THE SPRING 2018 REV IT UP TOURNAMENT, REV HOSTED 169 TEAMS (INCLUDING REV TEAMS) AND GAMES WERE PLAYED OVER ONE WEEKEND FOR ALL AGE GROUPS. REV ALSO HAS A FEW OF ITS HIGHEST COMPETITIVE TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE MIDWEST REGION LEAGUE. THIS LEAGUE IS HOSTED THROUGHOUT THE 13 STATE MIDWEST REGION AND REQUIRES SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF TIME AND TRAVEL.
