About

CORE MEMBER SERVICES THIS ENCOMPASSES THE WORK WE DO WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE PRIMARILY, RESIDENTS OF THE TWIN CITIES OR SURROUNDING SUBURBS. THE DESIRE FOR INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR CORE MEMBER ACTIVITIES COMES FROM A WIDE RANGE OF MOTIVATING FACTORS. THINGS SUCH AS; FACING CRISIS SITUATIONS THAT THE GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT OF THE CWC WILL HELP YOU TO OVERCOME, THE FEELING OF ISOLATION AND DISCONNECTEDNESS WITH FAMILY AND COMMUNITY, THE DESIRE TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND YOUR CULTURE, A DESIRE TO LEARN AN ALTERNATIVE WAY OF VIEWING THE WORLD AND GETTING THINGS DONE, OR GUIDANCE AND PROCESS FOR KNOWING AND UNDERSTAND YOURSELF, FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEALING AND MOVING BEYOND YOUR PERCEIVED LIMITATIONS. THIS IS JUST A SELECTED FEW, FROM A VERY LARGE AND DIVERSE SET OF REASONS WE HAVE SEEN BEING THE MOTIVATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN OUR CORE MEMBER ACTIVITIES. OUR CORE MEMBER SERVICES OFFER CULTURAL APPROACHES THAT GUIDE THE INDIVIDUALS TO CREATING THE KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO RESOLVE OR MOVE BEYOND WHATEVER SITUATION OR ENIGMA THEYRE FACED WITH. THIS APPROACH IS APPLICABLE TO NEARLY ANY SITUATION. THERE IS NO EQUIVALENT TO THE CWCS COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE INFORMING THIS APPROACH, ESPECIALLY IN THE TWIN CITIES, IT IS UNPRECEDENTED. THIS IS WHY THE DEMAND FOR OUR CORE MEMBER SERVICES HAS ALWAYS BEEN FAR BEYOND ANY FUNDING WE CAN USE TO IMPLEMENT IT. HEALTH INSTITUTE THIS ENCOMPASSES THE CWCS WORK TO REINSTATE CULTURALLY BASED HEALTH PRACTICES AND CULTURALLY BASED HEALING PRACTICES, IN COMMUNITIES, FAMILIES, AND INDIVIDUALS. THIS STARTS BY FIRST RESTORING THE VALUE AND RELEVANCE OF OUR OLD TRADITIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND VIEWS AROUND THE TOPIC OF HEALTH AND HEALING. IN ESSENCE, THE WORK IS TO COMBAT THE NOTION THAT ALL OF THE OLD AND TRADITIONAL, CULTURALLY BASED APPROACHES TO HEALTH AND HEALING ARE PRIMITIVE AND INFERIOR TO APPROACHES OF MODERN MEDICINE. THE HEALTH INSTITUTE MUST EDUCATE AND DEMONSTRATE OUR CULTURAL VALUES AND KNOWLEDGE AROUND HEALTH AND HEALING TO PREVENT THEIR COMPLETE DISAPPEARANCE. INVISIBLE COLLEGE THIS ENCOMPASSES THE CWCS WORK IN THE PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE THATS AN ASSET TO MOVING COMMUNITIES TOWARD HEALTH AND HARMONY THATS AUTHENTIC, SUSTAINABLE, AND REPLICABLE. THIS INCLUDES A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS, BUT LATELY, MOST OF OUR ENERGY HAS BEEN ON KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTION AROUND THE TOPICS OF COMMUNITIES, INSTITUTIONS, AND SYSTEMS THAT CAN EFFECTIVELY INTERFACE THE TWO BY UNDERSTANDING THE CULTURE OF EACH. KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTION IN THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE IS ALWAYS BASED IN THE CWCS EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF CULTURE AND COMMUNITY. THIS IS WHY KNOWLEDGE WE PRODUCE IS BEYOND WHAT OTHER INSTITUTIONS ARE EVER CAPABLE OF. COMMUNITY HEALTH HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY INVESTED IN BY THE BILLIONS AND THERE IS STILL NO SIGNIFICANT NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT OR REPLICABLE SOLUTION. THIS IS BECAUSE THE TRADITIONAL APPROACHES ALL LACK A FUNDAMENTAL INGREDIENT. THE PRESENCE AND DYNAMICS OF THE DIFFERENT CULTURES MUST BE UNDERSTOOD AND TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, OR THE SOLUTION WILL HAVE NO HOPE OF REALLY SOLVING ANYTHING. AT CURRENT, THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE IS THE MOST FUNDED ASPECT OF THE CWCS WORK. MORE SPECIFICALLY, OUR KNOWLEDGE AROUND COMMUNITY INSTITUTION PARTNERING AND INTERFACING IS MOST FUNDED. THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE CONSTANTLY PRODUCES KNOWLEDGE INTERNALLY, AND WITH OUR COMMUNITY, INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS. THIS KNOWLEDGE IS THEN MOBILIZED AND APPLIED IN A PROCESS THAT IS PRODUCING MORE KNOWLEDGE. THIS IS HOW MOST OF OUR PARTNERSHIPS FUNCTION AND HOW WE PRODUCE THE DELIVERABLES WE ARE PAID FOR. EVERY ASPECT OF THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE USES ITS INTERACTIONS, AND THE RESULT, TO PRODUCE KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL HELP INFORM OUR NEXT GENERATION OF MODELS AND SYSTEMS. SOME SPECIFIC ASPECTS OF THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE HAPPENING THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH SAINT PAUL PROMISE NEIGHBOR INCLUDE 1600 HOME VISITS, 5490 PHONE CALLS, 9,574 PARENTS ASSISTED, AND 3,790 FAMILIES ASSISTED.
