DURING 2018 AUDI CLUB NORTH AMERICA HELD SAFETY SEMINARS, TECHNICAL SESSIONS, AND CLINICS TO PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE AND PROPER CAR CARE MAINTENANCE AND TO EXPLAIN THE SAFETY FEATURES OF VEHICLES. OVER 500 ADULT DRIVER SCHOOL DAYS, AUTOCROSSES, MILEAGE CHALLENGES, RALLIES, AND WINTER DRIVING SCHOOLS WERE HELD DURING 2018 WITH APPROXIMATELY 8,400 PARTICIPANTS/VOLUNTEERS/INSTRUCTORS IN ATTENDANCE. ONE HUNDRED TECHNICAL SESSIONS/SEMINARS/CLINICS WERE HELD WITH OVER 2500 PARTICIPANTS IN ATTENDANCE. ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE DRIVER EDUCATION SEMINARS AND CLINICS RECEIVE THE QUATTRO MAGAZINE THAT CONTAINS TIPS ON MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND DRIVING TECHNIQUES. AUDI CLUB NORTH AMERICA HELD ADULT AND TEEN DRIVER EDUCATION CLASSES THAT TAUGHT SAFE DRIVING TECHNIQUES THROUGH A SERIES OF CAR CONTROL EXERCISES SUCH AS EMERGENCY LANE CHANGES, BRAKING IN BAD CONDITIONS, AND OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE. PARTICIPANTS UTILIZE SKILLS IN REAL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND REACT BETTER TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. ADULTS AND TEENS RECEIVE A MANUAL ALONG WITH CLASSROOM AND ON-SITE TRAINING. TEN TEEN CLINICS WERE HELD DURING 2018 WITH APPROXIMATELY 260 TEENS/PARENTS/INSTRUCTORS PARTICIPATING. WINTER DRIVING CLASSES WERE ALSO HELD TO TEACH SAFE DRIVING TECHNIQUES FOR SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. THESE CLASSES HAD EXERCISES INCLUDING OVER-STEERING, UNDER-STEERING, AND EMERGENCY BRAKING. THIRTEEN WINTER DRIVING SCHOOLS WERE HELD DURING 2018 WITH APPROXIMATELY 450 PARTICIPANTS/VOLUNTEERS/INSTRUCTORS IN ATTENDANCE.
