BCFS operated a food shelf serving Beltrami County and the Bemidji School District, which extends into Hubbard County. Seven hundred volunteers distributed 791,000 pounds of food to 2,893 households which made a total of 11,234 visits. Forty-seven percent of those served were children and seniors. Sixty-two percent of customers identified as native American. Veterans made a total of 203 visits. BCFS also partnered with the Second Harvest North Central Food Bank to distribute 1,393 nutrition assistance program for seniors (NAPS) commodity boxes to eligible seniors.
