Programming for women: The Elizabeth Kearney women's leadership program is a gender specific program designed to strengthen and enhance the leadership of women in their workplaces and the community. It takes a cohort of women through ten months of facilitated leadership training led by community leaders. Each participant creates an individual leadership plan that focuses on their individual leadership goals.The program served 43 women in 2019. Since its inception, the program has focused on five main themes: skill development, redefining power, balance, ethical leadership and reflection. The impact of the program on participants is transformative through monthly assessments, observation, and focus groups. The YWCA also offers an annual Women's Leadership Conference as an opportunity for women to learn and build skills and network with other area professionals. The Women's Leadership Conference was attended by 255 women in 2019. This conference focused around Gender Justice and Racial Justice.
