Mission

Create an indoor model of agricultural innovation promoting healthy/sustainable livelihoods.

About

Farming: The Farmory's volunteerism and service learning programs allow individuals to apply their learning through defined work experiences. We have over 60 active volunteers, with our largest group of volunteers, 30 people, volunteering weekly at our downtown or West DePere farm locations. In addition to working and learning the farm, individuals volunteer in our education, marketing, or resource development committees. Our volunteers expand their work history, learn both soft and hard employment skills, and earn scholarship or continuing education opportunities to work toward their individual goals. Fish Hatchery: Through a formalized partnership with the University of Green Bay, we broke ground on our fish hatchery, which will become the first bio-secure yellow perch fish hatchery in the state of Wisconsin. It will become a seed for revitalizing the stagnant aquaculture industry in Wisconsin. Aquaponics Farm: We completed many renovations on our downtown farm location including the laying of a new concrete floor and the installation of new windows, electrical, and plumbing. In addition, The Farmory developed our 2.0 aquaponics system at West De Pere High School. We continued to sell greens weekly to institutions such as the cannery, the YWCA, and Black and Tan.
