IN SEPTEMBER, PRESIDENT BETH ZURBUCHEN WAS INVITED TO ATTEND THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY GALA FOR THE SWISS CLUB TORONTO. THIS WAS AN EXCITING NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY AS ZURBUCHEN MET SWISS AMBASSADOR TO CANADA BEAT NOBS AND HONORARY CONSUL IN TORONTO BEAT GULDIMANN.NETWORKING AND CONNECTING CONTINUED AT SAENGERFEST 2018 IN TOLEDO. THE SWISS CENTER WAS A SPONSOR AND THE 3-DAY EVENT ALLOWED PRESIDENT ZURBUCHEN TO MEET WITH MANY OF THE 1,000 PLUS ATTENDEES FROM THE U.S. AND CANADA.PRESERVATION OF SWISS HERITAGE CONTINUES IN VARIOUS WAYS. SWISS CENTER BOARD DIRECTOR AND ARCHIVIST MENZI BEHRND-KLODT CONTINUES TO PROCESS ARCHIVAL DONATIONS AND HER FINDING AIDS ARE FOUND AT THE NATIONAL UNION CATALOG OF MANUSCRIPT COLLECTIONS IN WASHINGTON, DC, AND IN WORLDCAT, A UNION CATALOG THAT ITEMIZES THE COLLECTIONS OF 72,000 LIBRARIES IN. 170 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES.
