MTILP, Inc. provides combined long-term support of daily living skills training, mobility training, vocational training, and job placement for over 100 adults with disabilities in Dane County. These services are offered through supported employment, mobility training, home support, and facility-based programs.
About
The self-directed services supported employment program provides ongoing vocational support and daily living skills training for 115 adults with developmental disabilities. Supported employment includes job training, job development, job coaching and case management, with the objective being successful long term employment for our clients. In 2018, five new high school graduates began receiving our services. Several new community jobs were developed, and additional job hires/job supports for clients were funded through the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). For individuals who do not work full days, daily living skills training is provided in community settings and at our facility-based day program at MTILP, Inc. In 2018, over 42,000 hours of support were provided to our clients.
