THE AACDCF PLANS TO INCREASE NATIONAL AWARENESS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND THE SERVICES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE GBAS PROGRAM. BETWEEN NOVEMBER 1, 2017 AND OCTOBER 31, 2018, THE AACDCF'S GBAS PROGRAM CONNECTED 60 QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WITH AN AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER DENTIST FOR SMILE RESTORATION SERVICES AT NO CHARGE TO THE APPLICANT. THERE WERE 35 SMILE RESTORATIONS REPORTED COMPLETE FOR A TOTAL VALUE OF $348,919 IN DONATED DENTAL SERVICES. THE AACDCF ALSO SUPPORTS THE LABORATORY AND/OR SPECIALIST FEES ASSOCIATED WITH RESTORING SMILES AS WELL AS SUPPORTS GBAS PATIENTS WITH TRAVEL EXPENSES TO THEIR DENTAL APPOINTMENTS. THE AACDCF FOCUSED EFFORTS ON OUTREACH TO INCREASE NATIONAL AWARENESS OF ITS CHARITABLE SERVICES. 250 ORGANIZATIONS WHO WORK WITH SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC AND/OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE WERE CONTACTED. OF THOSE, 90 AGENCIES REQUESTED AND RECEIVED GBAS LITERATURE TO DISPLAY IN THEIR AGENCIES.
