The foundation for rural housing has stayed true to its five broad mission statements. In hard economic times the critical assistance program has focused on the first mission of assisting very low-income households to simply keep a roof over their heads. The organization has been furthering the second and fifth missions by assisting households with water needs and by alerting and coordinating with others to address future water needs. Approximately 90% of our work is aimed at preventing homelessness and about 10% of our work involves coordinating and funding home repairs for seniors.
