This is accomplished by working with communities and schools on tree related projects, planting trees on public property with volunteers and providing educational presentations, workshops and materials related to trees.

In 2017, Releaf Michigan collaborated with 23 communities to plant 680 large sized (1.5' to 2' caliper) trees with volunteers on public property. 1800 seedlings were distributed to students. In total 1540 individuals participated in the plantings and seed distributions. 14 presentations were held on topics ranging from oak wilt to the value of the urban tree canopy with over 350 participants.
