Mission

Dedicated to the empowerment of all the state's survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our mission is to develop and promote efforts aimed at the elimination of all domestic and sexual violence in Michigan.

About

Victim Assistance - MCEDSV provides direct services to victims by providing the state of Michigan sexual assault hotline and the survivor law clinic. The state of Michigan sexual assault hotline provides a confidential voice to listen, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for survivors of sexual violence. The survivor law clinic seeks to make crime victims' rights more meaningful for all Michigan victims. The clinic provides free legal representation for victims of any crime to enforce their crime victims' rights within the criminal case and also through civil representation to mitigate the effects of victimization. Both of these resources seek to serve individual survivors and also improve outcomes for all survivors by modeling best practices in survivor-centered, intersectional, trauma-informed work.
