Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels is a non-profit agency with a specific purpose of delivering 200 prepared hot meals and 170 cold supplements daily to the homebound elderly, disabled, and ill residents of the city and township of Ypsilanti and in Augusta, Superior, Pittsfield and York townships in southeastern Michigan. We realize that many people, especially the infirm, the ill and the disabled, take comfort in remaining in their own homes, but are unable to shop or cook for themselves. The meals and the personal contact we provide help people care for themselves in their homes. Our services in this area currently include: - delivery of a hot lunch time meal and a chilled meal for later in the day, Monday thru Friday each week - delivering weekly produce to all clients in partnership with Food Gatherers - access to a social worker to connect with needed services to remain independent in the home - providing delivery of a monthly grocery program for Jewish Family Services clients in Ypsilanti, MI
