About

HMCC's accomplishments in 2019 include hosting a feature exhibit, 'Michigan Lighthouses: An Aerial Photographic Perspective' presenting the work of pilot-photographer John L. Wagner. We also continued to host the exhibition 'The Big Three: Boat and Shipbuilding in Benton Harbor and Saint Joseph' as well as an exhibit on Saint Joseph's historic lighthouse. We also hosted numerous walking tours, many guest speakers on various cultural, literary, and historical topics, had a film screening, and hosted a multicultural 'Day of the Dead' fundraising event, in addition to running programs for school children. Partnering with the City of Saint Joseph, HMCC also ran tours of Saint Joseph's historic lighthouse, which allowed thousands of visitors to the area to explore and enjoy this architectural wonder of the Saint Joseph waterfront.
