WE STRIVE TO END ANIMAL SUFFERING AND PET OVERPOPULATION IN SULLIVAN COUNTY THROUGH PROGRESSIVE AND PROACTIVE POLICIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING ADOPTION, RESCUE, SPAY/NEUTER AND RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP EDUCATION. WE ENDEAVOR TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITY FOR BOTH RESIDENTS AND ANIMALS THROUGH FAIR AND COMPASSIONATE, BUT FIRM ENFORCEMENT OF LOCAL, AND STATE ANIMAL LAWS AND ORDINANCES.

WE STRIVE TO END ANIMAL SUFFERING AND PET OVERPOPULATION IN SULLIVAN COUNTY THROUGH PROGRESSIVE AND PROACTIVE POLICIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING ADOPTION, RESCUE, SPAY/NEUTER AND RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP EDUCATION. WE PROVIDE CARE FOR LOST AND HOMELESS ANIMALS BY PROVIDING NOURISHMENT, MEDICAL CARE, AND VACCINATIONS WHILE IN OUR FACILITIES. APPROXIMATELY 1,573 ANIMALS WERE CARED FOR IN OUR FACILITIES DURING THE YEAR, AND APPROXIMATELY 567 ANIMALS WERE ADOPTED. DONATIONS WERE RECEIVED IN THE AMOUNT OF $137,156 FOR THE CARE OF THE ANIMALS. WE ENDEAVOR TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITY FOR BOTH RESIDENTS AND ANIMALS THROUGH FAIR AND COMPASSIONATE, BUT FIRM ENFORCEMENT OF LOCAL, AND STATE ANIMAL LAWS AND ORDINANCES. ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS RESPONDED TO CALLS AND TRANSPORTED STRAY ANIMALS TO THE SHELTER. APPROPRIATIONS WERE RECEIVED FROM THE CITY OF KINGSPORT IN THE AMOUNT OF $315,800 TO HELP FUND ALL ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING THE UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW SHELTER.
